Hi, I’m Casey, Independent Consultant & District Manager with Arbonne
How I Discovered Arbonne

I discovered Arbonne in 2019 through a single Instagram post a friend made. She found a 30 Day Healthy Living Program that made her look & feel amazing. Joe and I were a few months from our wedding, I was ready to look and feel that way too! I was literally eating Oreos before breakfast at this point…. I had white dress goals, claro que sí, but I also wanted to have energy, and not catch any colds in time for our late September honeymoon!
So I ordered the 30 Days to Healthy Living. I spent the month leading up to our wedding eating whole foods. I had no gluten, no dairy, no soy, no coffee, and no alcohol. The program included protein smoothies, Energy Fizz Sticks, Detox Tea, and a few other things to help aid my 30 day transformation to healthier, more gut friendly eating.

Two weeks in, I “cheated” and had a grilled cheese sandwich that made me SOOOOO sleepy! I couldn’t believe it! Up til that point, I didn’t realize how much energy I had actually gained back. Before the program, I was chronically fatigued. I even had my doctor run tests only to be told I was “healthy” and everything looked good. After fueling my body with what it needed, and not with what it didn’t, this grilled cheese was a turning point in my life.
SOLD! I finished the program (looked & felt amazing for our wedding! I even lost 5lbs) and immediately ordered more protein, Energy Fizz, and other products from Arbonne. But before submitting my order, I decided to sign up as an Independent Consultant, primarily for the discount, but figured I would be telling everyone about Arbonne anyway, so why not! Little did I know that saying YES to this business would change the trajectory of my future.
I didn’t become super serious about using my Arbonne business as a main source of income until January of 2024. When my second child was 5 months old, the desire to continue to be able to work from home in the future was growing stronger and stronger.
So the purpose of this post is to give readers an inside look into what it’s like to be an Independent Consultant with Arbonne, and I go deep! So cozy up, grab some tea, and let’s get into it!
What this blog post will cover:

6. Why I Love being an Arbonne Consultant!

1. Day-to-Day Life of an Arbonne Consultant
- Morning Routine:
- Most mornings I wake to one of my children 🙂 After tending to their needs, my whole family finds themselves in our bathroom where I do my skincare routine with Arbonne’s DermResults Set, my makeup with various pieces from Arbonne, and we even use Arbonne toothpaste & deodorant! Joe also uses the men’s moisturizer & eye cream, too!
- Once everyone is dressed and ready we head downstairs for breakfast. The kids start with fruit while Joe makes eggs. We blend James’ egg into his Arbonne chocolate protein smoothie, along with Daily Greens, berries, and local milk. James (3) won’t eat eggs otherwise. Here’s a blog post I wrote about feeding picky toddlers! We kiss Dada goodbye and start our day of play or errands.
- Work Tasks:
- When I find times in the day, like when the kids are playing independently or napping, I’ll do:
– reach outs to potential customers
– share videos or stories about the products I use daily on social media.
– Coach and guide Nutrition based clients
– Send Newsletters via e-mail
– Weekly coaching calls with Sandy, my personal mentor
– Team training calls on Tuesday nights - When I’m out and about in the world, I try my best to just connect with people. Not for the sake of Arbonne specifically, but just to get to know people in my community and practice my social skills, honestly, LOL! #StayAtHomeMomTruths And when I connect with someone who I think would benefit or like a product we have, I share it with them!
- When I find times in the day, like when the kids are playing independently or napping, I’ll do:
- Flexibility:
- With Arbonne, I’m able to balance my work with other responsibilities. If you’ve ever spent any time with little kids and babies, you understand how much of your attention and time they need! With Arbonne, I don’t have to leave the house or meet deadlines, make phone calls. I also have ZERO pressure from a boss. I actually really love having Sandy as my mentor, because she always leaves me feeling inspired and motivated, she never puts pressure on me to do anything. I am my own boss, she is my guide. With Arbonne, there is no pressure to sign up clients or consultants under you, it’s all up to you!

- Personal Development:
- This is one of my absolute favorite things about Arbonne! I’m encouraged to work on myself (which is SO important to do as a mom!), through reading, movement, practicing gratitude, and community. I also love the trainings, not only so I have a full understanding of our products, but also with how to run my business, and the trainings often have personal development sprinkled in 🙂
2. The Benefits of Being an Arbonne Consultant
- Flexibility & Freedom:
- I’ve had a number of other jobs in my 37 years, including Irish Dance Studio Owner / Teacher, Event Planner, Realtor, Nanny, Substitute Teacher, etc. I loved all of those jobs and the people and communities that they provided. They served me so well during different phases of my life, but my #1 priority, and desire right now is to be home with my children while they are little. Also to be readily available for my extended family when they need me at a moments notice. Arbonne allows that to be possible.

- Personal Growth:
- For me, I love the feeling of inspiration, it’s my most favorite feeling, and I’m often inspired by the motivational speakers, podcasts, trainings, books, and friendships that I’ve discovered thanks to my Arbonne community. I feel like I’ve found my people!

- Community & Support:
- There is something special about this community, I’m not sure how else to say it. Everyone I’ve met has been welcoming, loving, and supportive. Even consultants who are on other teams. There is no competition between consultants or teams, we all work together. I once met another consultant who was sitting next to me on an airplane on our way to the Arbonne convention and we instantly connected and had the best flight! (hi Holly!)
In 2020, the team I was on created a text thread with about 12 of us, which was a social life saver during quarantine! We still talk in that thread and I have become so close with some of them, even though we don’t live anywhere near each other. I am SO grateful for those friendships, you know who you are! ❤
I’ve also started accountability groups for clients in our nutrition programs and have loved seeing those little communities blossom into friendships between clients as well!

- Making a Difference:
- This one is gold. The feedback I’ve received from clients who’ve been able to feel better through the products and guidance that Arbonne has to offer is the best feeling. From moms who are able to get that same energy boost that I experienced from the 30 Days to Healthy Living, to clients who’ve been able to manage their weight through cleaner eating and the 7 Day Fresh Start program. Clients being able to clear up their skin, or finding products that work well with their sensitive skin or digestion. Arbonne isn’t for everyone, but for many it’s been life changing. I’m so excited to start the next chapter of MY journey also helping people with the ability to create an income from home by creating Arbonne businesses of their own.
3. Income and Earning Potential

- Compensation Structure:
- There are 3 ways we can get paid as Arbonne Consultants: commissions, overrides, and bonuses. There are also 4 levels to promote to: District Manager (that’s me!), Area Manager, Regional Vice President, and National Vice President.
We are paid every week on commissions and once a month on overrides and bonuses. To see what’s typical and to see the full compensation plan, visit Earnings.Arbonne.com.
Since becoming serious about Arbonne as a business, I have made commissions almost every week since January and have earned 2 bonuses!

- Incentives:
- Arbonne has various incentives throughout the year, ways to earn things like Arbonne swag or even Incentive Trips where Arbonne will pay for you to join them on vacation! My mentor, Sandy, has earned over 10 Incentive Trips for her and her husband, including Cancun, Cabo, Atlantis, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic cruise, and more! I have yet to earn any incentives, but I bet your bottom dollar that one day I will!

- Earnings Potential:
- Arbonne is an effort based business. If you do minimal, you will earn minimal. You can go as slow or as fast as you’d like, we are here to meet you where you are. I often compare my experience with Arbonne to my experience as a Realtor, which is also effort and commission based. Many Realtors quit before 2 years and 20% of the Realtors are doing 80% of the business. I’m not sure the stats on Network Marketers, but I’m sure it’s similar. Most will “fail” not because they’re not good, but they’re not willing to do what it takes to succeed.
To be successful you have to be consistent, coachable, willing to learn, and not give up. You have to be willing to get out of your comfort zone. You have to be ok with rejections and people ghosting you! You have to understand that you will make mistakes, you will have wins, loses, and days where you feel like you don’t know what you’re doing!
You have to keep taking steps forward, because even when you feel like you’re not making progress, you are! Keep going! Listen to your mentors, your upline, sideline, keep working on personal growth and continuing education. Don’t compare yourself to people who are in the Top 1%, use them as proof that it’s possible!

- I’m not allowed to share what I’m earning as part of our guidelines, but I will share that I have been receiving commissions almost every week since becoming serious about my Arbonne business. Currently, I’ve not yet met my personal income goals, but I’m not quitting and will let you know when I’ve reached my first goal!

4. Challenges of the Role
- Initial Learning Curve:
- When you first become an Independent Consultant, you feel excited but also a little overwhelmed! There is a lot to learn. You’ll need to learn about the products, how the website works, understand the difference between Clients, Preferred Clients, and Consultants. You’ll need to know how to start working your network, talking to people, and how to become confident in your abilities.
Luckily, you get a mentor (multiple really!), the Arbonne App, trainings, videos, and resources. You literally will be given everything you need to be successful, it’s up to you to implement what you learn, use the resources, ask questions, and just start.
Do You Need To Buy Tons of Products?
Arbonne has over 500 products, but you only need a few to get started. What do you like? Protein powder & Energy Fizz? Skincare? Makeup? It’s way easier to become familiar with one or two key products that YOU love and start sharing those with your network. If you follow me on Social Media, you know I post mostly about the nutrition: protein powder & Energy Fizz. Do I use the toothpaste, deodorant, Vitamin C serum, eye cream, tea, etc.. yup! Do I post about ALL the products? Nope! I share the ones I use the most! Plus, consumers need to see an “ad” at least 12 times before they really notice it! So sharing about the same things is actually good marketing!
There is NO requirement for you to buy products.
There are NO minimums you need to meet to stay a Consultant.
You will swap every day items you are already using for those from Arbonne!
When I first joined Arbonne, I did the 30 Days to Healthy Living. So guess what I shared? The 30 Days to Healthy Living!
Building a Client Base
When someone compliments your shirt, what do you usually respond with? “Thanks! It’s from Target!” <<< That is network marketing! We naturally share what we love. As your mentor, I’ll guide you on how to track conversations, more importantly how to HAVE conversations that flow naturally and don’t feel “sales-ie” to you or the people you’re connecting with.

- Consistency & Discipline:
- True with any goal you’re trying to achieve, this business requires consistency and discipline. You have to show up for yourself. No one in the Top 1%, no Olympic athlete, no champion has ever made it to the top without failure and tough days. …. I have yet to experience a tough day in Arbonne… but I’m sure it’s coming as I level up! I know that consistency is key!

- Handling Rejection:
- Arbonne is not for everyone! Neither is skateboarding! People will say no, reject your offer, or just straight up ignore your messages. That’s OK! Every “no” is a bump in the right direction. We are trying to find our tribe, people who love the products and company as much as we do. Do I want to wear Vans and hang out at the skate park? No. Do the skaters feel weird about that? Of course not, because that’s not my vibe or tribe, and I’m not theirs!
5. Tips for Aspiring Consultants

- Getting Started:
- Interested in getting started with Arbonne as a business? I’d suggest messaging me and let’s set up a Zoom call so we can talk about your goals and expectations (you can meet Sandy!!!), along with how the Arbonne business works. I’ll ask you questions like:
– Why does the Arbonne opportunity interest you?
– How much time a week would you like to contribute to your business?
– How much income would you like to bring in a month?
And then we’ll go over the Arbonne Business more in depth and answer any questions you have.
If you’re a YES to the business, the start up cost is $99, or $49 if you’re bumping up from a Preferred Client. From there, we’ll plan your Launch – how, when, and where you’ll share the news with your network that you’re now an Independent Consultant with Arbonne!
We will schedule weekly mentoring Zoom calls to help guide you through the steps of how to start working your business and give you the calendar of our Team Trainings.

- Building a Customer Base:
- The biggest tip I’ve learned so far, is just to talk to everyone! And not every conversation has to have Arbonne as the goal in mind. Just talk to everyone, say hello, genuinely, to the cashier at the grocery store, strike up a conversation with the person next to you in line at the coffee shop. For me, just practicing talking to people in general has helped me a lot because it’s not a skill I’d say I’ve been very good at, at least not very comfortable with all the time!
*Network* Marketing, means you use the people in your network: family, friends, co-workers, peers, neighbors, people you meet at a party, your dentist, etc. So honing in on communication skills will benefit you, for Network Marketing and beyond!

- Leveraging Social Media:
- For me, right now in this phase of life, Social Media feels like a life line in more ways than one. Being a Stay At Home Mom sometimes feels lonely and constricting. But Social Media puts the world, my community, friends, … my Network, right at my fingertips! I’d say for me, 90% of my business comes through the use of Social Media. Do you have to use it? Nope! I know a number of Arbonne Consultants who don’t use Social Media at all to work their business. You find what works for you – and if it’s Social Media – lets collaborate!

- Mindset & Motivation:
- Having the right mindset, the right expectations, and the right goals are going to make all the difference. If you doubt yourself, if you doubt the products, if you doubt the business, if you take rejection too personally, you’re going to get stuck in a place of no growth.
To be honest, when I first became a consultant in 2019, I did not believe in the business or company. I liked it, I liked the products, but I didn’t have that 110% belief that I saw the other consultants had. I wasn’t sure if it was something I’d ever have, but I kept using the products… for years! I slowly went from having a few Arbonne things here and there to literally being “Arbonnized” over the last 5 years and I can tell you, I 110% believe in this company, the products, and the business model now!
Getting started, as it is in any new job or community, can be exciting and maybe a little overwhelming but I am here for you, as your coach, to help keep your mindset in a healthy place, too! It’s honestly one of my favorite parts of Arbonne, the supportive community, my mentor/coach, Sandy, is incredible in that way. I love and look forward to our weekly coaching calls, they always leave me in a better place!

6. Why I Love Being an Arbonne Consultant
- Personal Connection:
- Everyone’s journey and story with Arbonne is different. For me, Arbonne has been there along side my other endeavors, the dance studio, real estate, and motherhood. But it wasn’t until a few months ago that my perspective on it shifted.
I was in search for something, an answer to my questions,
“how can I contribute to our family financially while also being a present stay at home mom?”
“How can I make an income without having to make phone calls with toddlers and a baby on my hips?”
“How can I find work that allows me to be creative and free, but also has structure and goals for me to work toward?”
I wanted time freedom most of all. I love being “on call” for my family and friends. Need a last minute babysitter? I’m here. Need someone to take Grandmom to her doctor’s appointment? I’m here. Need me to drop off the lunch you forgot at home? I got you.
Arbonne is the answer to literally everything I’ve been looking for, and more! The parts of Arbonne I wasn’t expecting in 2019 was the community and personal growth. I have evolved so much as a human in the last 5 years, in more ways than one, and love the depth of personal growth that my community has been able to provide through trainings, books, motivational speakers, podcasts, the Arbonne conference, and just one on one conversations.

- Looking Forward:
- This part makes me so excited. Sandy had me fill out a sheet not long ago that talked about goals, and where I see myself 5 years from now. I am very spiritual, I work a lot with intuition and gut feelings. When I sat down to answer this question, I didn’t see any specifics. There was no title, no amount of income, no size of my team. What was in it’s place instead was a feeling. A feeling of pure joy that was spreading, sparkling down and around to others.
The Arbonne opportunity has that ability. I have that ability.
So as I work toward my goals, I’m really working toward that feeling.

Conclusion
If you understand what I mean, if you’ve read up to this point, join me! I believe your vibe attracts your tribe. I believe I’m attracting the people who are meant to be together with me on this journey and it fills my being with such love, there’s really no other word for it!
If this is all brand new to you or you’d like to learn more about Arbonne, the products, or the business opportunity, let’s connect! I would absolutely love to talk with you! We can set up a Zoom (again, you can meet Sandy!!!) and have some fun!
