Mothering the Pause

A new series for the in-between seasons

Lately, I’ve been in a season that’s hard to name.

It’s not burnout exactly. I’m not quitting anything. But I’m also not chasing like I used to. I’m still dreaming. Still building in some ways. Still raising tiny humans. But something in me has shifted.

The pace. The urgency. The energy.

I’ve found myself drawn to slower mornings, to music, to baking muffins with my kids and reading together in the sunlight. I’m noticing the rhythm of my body more—the way I soften in my luteal phase, the way I long for gentleness when the world asks for hustle. I’ve been craving less output, and more presence.

This space—this in-between—I’m learning to call the pause.

And I’m mothering my way through it.

Not just as a mom to two young kids, but as a woman mothering her own energy. Her own identity. Her own desires, confusion, creativity, stillness.

Why this series?

Because I know I’m not the only one who feels this way.

You can love your life and still feel lost in it sometimes. You can be grateful and still crave more. You can want to make money and still feel unsure of how—or if—you want to do it that way. You can be ambitious and exhausted at the same time.

Mothering the Pause is a space for all of that.

Here, I’ll share what’s real for me right now. The beauty and the mess. The tension between creating and resting. The little rituals and routines that ground me. What’s working. What’s not. And how I’m navigating motherhood, identity, and meaning in a softer way.

You won’t find a five-step plan here. Just an invitation to be human.

If you’re in a season like this, welcome.
You’re not behind.
You’re not broken.
You’re in the pause.
And there’s wisdom in it.

Let’s mother our way through, together.
